At Floin, we believe in full transparency and fairness. Our pricing is simple and clearly disclosed. There are no hidden charges.
We apply the following principles:
Clarity - Fees are explained in a straightforward way;
Fairness - Pricing is competitive and determined using clear, objective criteria, based on extensive research and benchmarking;
Transparency - Network (“gas”) fees are always passed on at cost, without surcharge;
Governance - Any change in fees is subject to strict approval and oversight.
Some services include a markup (also called spread) in the final price you see. This is the difference between the price Floin receives from its primary reference market (currently Kraken) and the price quoted to you. It ranges between 0.1% and 1% and covers execution risk, market access, and infrastructure costs.
How your price is determined
The quote shown to you before entering into a transaction is determined in real time based on the current bid/ask market data from our primary reference market (currently Kraken). The quote consists of the Kraken reference price, the service markup (spread between 0.1% and 1%) mentioned above, and any separately disclosed dynamic network fees. The quote is binding for the validity period displayed in the transaction interface. Once you confirm the quote, execution takes place at the displayed price.
Floin acts as your direct counterparty for every transaction (principal model). You do not trade directly on Kraken or any other exchange, and you do not enter into any contract with our liquidity providers.
Execution is primarily automated. Should execution via our primary reference market not be immediately possible in exceptional cases (e.g., temporary liquidity constraints or technical disruptions), the transaction is processed through internal backup procedures. In all cases, your confirmed quote price is honoured. If processing takes longer than usual, you will be informed via a status update in the transaction interface.
Market volatility, order book depth, and available market liquidity may affect the availability of a quote and how frequently it is updated, but they do not change the confirmed price within the displayed validity period. Any applicable limits, or the absence of fixed limits, are clearly shown to you before you initiate the transaction.
